International Tourism To Recommence in Lanzarote from July 2020
Covid Update – 25th May 2020
The 14 day self isolation period imposed on arrivals from outside Spain will end on 1st July 2020.
Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez announced in a television broadcast today that International Tourism will commence across Spain in July 2020 “saving the summer season.”
There have been 2324 cases of Coronavirus on the Canary Islands, and 158 people have died. The Canary Islands have one of the lowest infection rates in the world.
Lanzarote has had 85 cases and has had 6 deaths.
Tenerife has had the most infections in the Canary Islands with 1476 cases.
This news will hopefully give a little bit of confidence back to those people looking at Lanzarote as a potential future holiday destination.
At this present date, until travel and flight restrictions are lifted in the UK, we cannot still look at taking new bookings from UK guests for dates between now and 1st July 2020. We will be reviewing the situation carefully over the coming weeks.
